Engaging in hands-on experiences not only allows individuals and organizations to contribute to helping others and fostering community but also provides opportunities for personal development, skill enhancement, and a deeper understanding of one's impact on the community. These experiences promote the idea that everyone can make a difference, fostering a sense of empowerment and collective well-being.

TRU Partnership is currently partnering with Congregation Beth El Religious School in Voorhees, NJ, on a special educational initiative. Together, we’re bringing light—both literally and figuratively—into the homes of low-income families in Camden by collecting and distributing used lamps. Many of these households in Camden struggle with inadequate lighting, making it difficult for children to do homework, read, or even play.

In addition to gathering lamps, the students are creating heartfelt cards and notes to accompany each lamp, adding a personal touch to every family's home.
